Warsaw-based CD Projekt RED, The Witcher gaming series’ official publisher, will be releasing new downloadable content, DLC for free, concerning The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt. We’re talking about a brand new, exciting game-mode.
Nevertheless, the add-on will take some time till completion. The company has announced on Twitter that it’s due to appear, not this week, but it advises gamers to stay tuned, as they need a bit more time to finish it.
It will be the game’s 16th and final DLC.
Up until the present, new costumes, extra missions etc. have been enjoyed by fans of The Witcher worldwide, but one can only imagine that a New Game mode can be actually magical, so to say.
A Witcher, at a brief glance, is a combination of hexer and warlock, whereas, according to the game’s design and structure, he wields swords, fights dragons and uses spells and sorcery to get through.
Geralt of Rivia is the main character of the gaming series, who have been inspired by a series of novels written by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski. The Witcher series have also been adapted to TV series, role-playing games and computer games.
Geralt, as gaming connoisseurs know him by, can become a bounty-hunter, by hunting and slaying beasts and getting paid for it, or just be a good samaritan.
Statistics show that 12 million copies have been sold so far regarding the Witcher saga, which is truly outstanding for a game brought toward fulfillment in Poland.
Concerning gaming piracy, CD Projekt RED has proved to themselves that in Poland’s market there’s a gateway where pirates wouldn’t have access, throughout remarkable soundtracks etc.
It was reported that Poland’s Prime Minister D. Tusk, astonished by The Witcher 2’s success, actually gave a copy to President Obama, the latter saying that he wasn’t that good at video games, but he was astounded at the great example given by Poland, regarding global economy.
So, turns out that Poland has been producing exciting games, offering dashing experiences to gamers worldwide, ever since the release of The Witcher, summing up a total of almost $280 million in 2014, rivaling with Russia in Eastern Europe.
Whereas at a first glance, The Witcher may seem as a very good video game, it is, in fact, a precious possession of Poland.
It is worth mentioning that gamers should not forget about the game expansions due to be launched in October: Heart of Stone, and Blood and Wine who would land in early 2016. These expansions add over 30 hours of gameplay and they can be purchased for $25.
