To facilitate the individual’s identification and arrest, the Burlington law enforcement officials have decided to make public the movie depicting the New Jersey store clerk’s assault.
The minute-long clip shows the store clerk, a 58-year-old man, sitting behind the counter and looking at his smartphone. At one point, the door opens, and an individual, wearing something that looks like a hoodie, steps into the store.
The victim raises his eyes to see who entered the store and then resumes his activity. Several seconds later, an individual wearing a black hoodie and dark-colored pants can be seen walking in front of the security camera, back turned, and making his way towards the New Jersey store clerk.
The man goes to the clerk, who was already on his feet and promptly tells him to open the cash register. Refusing to comply, the clerk gets knocked to the ground. The suspect continues hitting the store clerk with his hands and feet.
After a couple of seconds, the store clerk gets back on his feet and opens the cash register. The robber takes the money and runs the door with his back turned to the camera.
Minutes later, the authorities arrived and took the man to the hospital, as the robber stabbed him in the neck during the scuffle. The victim described the assailant as a 5-foot-8 African-American male.
