Bran Stark has just marked Littlefinger as the agent of chaos. Lord Petyr Baelish thrives during unsettling times and takes advantage of all the odds that fall in his path. Even though Sansa is aware of Littlefinger’s true nature, she might let his schemes affect her again. That’s because Arya read a mysterious scroll in Littlefinger’s bedroom. Given that Lord Baelish was not surprised to see Arya leave his chambers, the text might be part of one of his conspiracies.
Arya Finds the Mysterious Scroll Well Hidden in Littlefinger’s Bedroom
In the latest episode of Game of Thrones, Eastwatch, Arya looks determined to learn everything there is about Littlefinger. Therefore, as a true disciple of the Many-Faced God, she relentlessly spies his every move. However, despite her training, she might still not be a match for Lord Baelish. The agent of chaos might have been aware of her presence for the entire time of Arya’s mission.
Arya’s day was not without events. She caught Littlefinger in a secret meeting with Maester Wolkan. He asks the scholar to confirm to him if that’s the only copy of the text in the entire Winterfell to which the answer was positive. Afterward, Littlefinger enters his room but only for a short while. It is Arya’s turn to pay an incognito visit to Lord Baelish.
This is when Arya finds a well-hidden mysterious scroll. She swiftly reads the text and vanishes from the chambers in shock. The document was actually created during the first season of Game of Thrones. This was when Sansa was a royal hostage to the Baratheons. Cersei informs the little princess that the only way she could save her father Ned Stark is to ask her family to recognize Joffrey as their king.
Littlefinger Planted the Idea of Suspicion in Arya’s Mind Regarding Her Sister Sansa
Therefore, Sansa sends a raven to her brother and mother with the same text Arya discovered. In the letter, she recognizes her father as a traitor who conspired to the genocide of Robert Baratheon. On top of that, she begs them to bend their knee before King Joffrey.
However, Arya doesn’t know that this entire denigration of the House Stark was coming from Cersei only. Nevertheless, the real question is why Littlefinger led Arya to this message of the past. One can only presume that this scroll represents one more reason for Arya to lose her trust in Sansa. The two sisters could be unbreakable if they work together. However, Littlefinger remains the sole councilor to Sansa, which places more power in his hands.
