Have your ever hear of a hair brush so advanced that it can tell how healthy your hair is by the sound it makes? Chances are you haven’t, because this device has not been invented. That is, until now. Two tech companies from the United States joined forces to create the world’s first intelligent hairbrush, which knows exactly what your hair needs.
The intelligent hairbrush was created by Kerastase and Withings, and it was called Hair Couch. Basically, it looks like an ordinary plastic hairbrush with medium-sized bristles, but underneath its hood lies a nervure of highly sophisticated sensors.
According to the companies which developed the intelligent hairbrush, this product is specifically addressed to those who have hair-related problems. For example, after the first brush, the intelligent device will analyze the health of your scalp and hair
Based on this determination, it will be able to make recommendations. Hair Couch analyzes everything from the scalp’s condition to how healthy your follicles are. One of the device’s coolest features is the ability to determine the health of your hair by listening to its rustles.
What does this mean? Each time you brush your hair, the tiny microphones embedded in the intelligent brush picks up the sound of your hair makes as it touches the brush’s bristles. The device’s mobile app then analyzes the sound patterns to determine if your hair is healthy, damaged, dry or oily.
However, the brush’s strong point is its mobile companion. Using this application with your Hair Couch, you will have a beautiful, strong, and healthy hair in no time. Since the companion app is hooked up to the Internet around the clock, it will be able to provide you with useful hints.
In terms of compatibility, the companies made sure that the app can be run on both Android and iOS handsets. Hair Couch is very easy to set up – install the application on your phone, create an account, answer a couple of hair-related questions, and that’s it.
The intelligent hair brush can be paired with any mobile device capable of communicating over a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection.
As amazing as this new type of hairbrush might sound, one would imagine that it doesn’t have the same price tag as a regular plastic hairbrush. The products, which will soon hit the market, will cost at least $400.
