The media is flooded with all sorts of commercials and, like Kubrick said, everything has already been done. So in order to attract more customers and at the time offer them a delightful experience, a restaurant chain decided to do something different. The result? You get free ice cream at chick-fil-A if you dine phoneless.
The initiative of the restaurant was appraised by many entrepreneurs and business magazines. In the age of Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, the chicken specialized restaurant rewards families or parties that resist the temptation of taking a picture of their delicious meal and uploading it to a social media site.
The company also specified in their announcement that free desert will be won only by those who put their mobile devices in a sort of “cell phone coop”. If anybody touches a phone, everybody loses the chance at a free ice cream.
It’s a rather bold movement in an age in which restaurants are counting on social media users to check in, or take photos of their meals and then post them on the social platforms.
But for Chick-fill-A human interaction is more important. That’s what they are trying to support, people, especially families that come out to dinner and enjoy each other’s company rather than the display of their smartphone.
You get free ice cream at Chick-Fill-A if you dine phoneless. And if you’re living in Illinois, you might also receive a free breakfast on Tuesday.
The company is opening its 2,000 restaurant on Tuesday and in order to proper celebrate this achievement they will be offering free breakfast giveaways on the 8th of March from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
The giveaway will consist of either three pieces of Chick-fil-A or a Chick-n-Mini sandwich. The latter is an original Chick-fil-A recipe that deserves all of your attention. It is made out a chicken nugget that is nestled inside a yeast roll that is brushed with hot honey butter.
Clients are not obligated to purchase anything else in order to receive their gratuity.
The giveaway campaign precedes the opening of the first Chick-fil-A Springfield stand-alone location. The Springfield restaurant will be the 2,000 location that the chain opens.
Chick-fil-A started out as a small restaurant in a mall in Atlanta. This was in 1967. After almost half a century, the company managed to bring quality products to what will soon be 2,000 locations.
