Diablo III had its 2.3.0 patch released on Tuesday, two days before its official launch, and it got players excited about playing their favorite Nephalem. Despite having new adventure zones to look forward to, Diablo players have a ton of new, interesting features that they can choose to manipulate in order to make their characters a lot stronger. So let’s get right to it.
The new Diablo III patch brings forth a new zone known as the Ruins of Sescheron. The zone is practically a new wasteland in which you can venture to discover and explore the Immortal Throne and witness the fate of the barbarians who inhibited Mount Arreat ages ago. This is also the zone in which you can find one of the game’s most expected features which is definitely a game changer.
We are talking about none other than Kanai’s Cube. Kanai’s Cube brings a completely new vibe to the game as it can free you from a good number of the game’s constraints and make your Nephalem more powerful than ever. With the aid of the Cube, you can now extract legendary powers from items, remake (reroll) the Legendary item you want completely, convert an item from a specific set into another item from the same set, or remove an item’s level requirement.
While these are new, awesome features that many players have been looking forward to, there are players who are wondering whether Kanai’s Cube is going to be overpowered or not. Really, you can officially do anything you want in Diablo III now. The Cube ascends you from the player rank to the god rank and you can organize your powers for both PvE and PvP.
Patch 2.3.0 was also released as a tribute to Kevin Kanai, who died while Diablo III was under development. Kevin used to take care of every new zone that was created and was responsible for all the effects that players can see in the world. If you are in Tristram and you notice different types of weather, it was Kevin who worked on that. And we will all miss Kevin and his dedication.
Diablo’s 4th season will be underway starting with today, so make sure that you start your new seasonal character and venture towards Kanai’s Cube, because after you reach it and you will start organizing your gear more effectively, you are going to have a great time in Diablo III.
