This week, John Ziegler III, a 31-year-old Jackson Township resident, will be brought before the magistrates to answer for the slaying of his pregnant wife on the 27th of January 2017. Ziegler’s lawyers argued that the York County swordsman has a mental condition, deeming him unfit to stand trial.
York County Swordsman Believed in a World Conspiracy to Create New Race of Humans
On the 27th of January 2017, John Ziegler III, would take up a sword and viciously attack his wife who, at that time, was six months pregnant. Although the first responders rushed her to the hospital, the doctors were unable to save neither her nor the baby.
The man was taken into custody and charged with two counts of first-degree murder. However, trialing Ziegler proved to be more problematic than the authorities first though, in part due to his strange confession he offered the Northern County Regional Police officials.
Detective Mark Baker, the law enforcement official who interviewed the York County swordsman after his arrest, declared that Ziegler III told him that he was feeling ill for the past three months.
More than that, the suspect confessed to have discovered a world-wide conspiracy of creating a race of human hybrids and that his wife, ‘queen bee’ as he named her, was at the center of his supposed group.
Ziegler also told Baker that he was disappointed by the fact that Trump’s election as president didn’t change anything and that he recently discovered that he could manipulate the weather using his emotions.
Although Ziegler’s attorneys were advocating for the man being found not guilty on the grounds of insanity, the jury decided that York County swordsman is fit to stand trial and to answer for the two counts of first-degree murder.
