Kim Rhodes Will Be the Lead Hero of the Spin-off from Supernatural Universe
The CW is going to extend the fictional realm of its Supernatural production through a new spin-off, Wayward Sisters. The TV series will debut as a pilot episode in Supernatural. The new branched story will follow the life of South Dakota Sheriff Jody Mills played by actress Kim Rhodes.
In the new series, fans of the Supernatural universe are going to watch how Mills gets to train several orphaned girls. Their combat education will help them defeat villains and monsters that were responsible for the unfortunate fate of their families.
Fans of the TV Show Proposed a Similar Plot Years Ago
The pilot episode will debut in the next season of Supernatural. So far, producers got their eyes only on Kim Rhodes. On the other hand, Kathryn Love Newton’s Claire Novak and Katherine Ramdeen’s Annie Jones appear relevant enough for the new plot to show off in it. Both of them lost their parents due to the forces of supernatural. Eventually, they found a second family in the person of Sheriff Mills.
The first Wayward Sisters episode enjoyed the creative direction of producers Andrew Dabb and Robert Berens. Even though it is not a confirmed rumor, they might have shown a sign of appreciation for their fans through this project. Many enthusiasts proposed a similar concept over the years, though their version was entitled Wayward Daughters. However, the crew went for a different title inspired by the opening song of all Supernatural season finales, Carry on Wayward Son.
