During a recent press conference, Ed Gonzales, the sheriff of Harris County, declared that the authorities are combing the county looking for the two suspects responsible for the Spring couple execution which occurred on Saturday night. The Sheriff declared that the couple’s Spring house had been targeted multiple times before their deaths, possibly by the same individuals who murdered them in cold blood.
Spring Couple Execution Enrages Community
According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzales, the Spring couple brutally assassinated on Saturday evening was Jenny and Bao Lam, both 61-year-old. Emigrating into the United States at the beginning of the ‘70s, the couple worked several jobs at the time to support their children and to pay for their college tuition.
The Lams later went into business for themselves, opening the Marble Slab Creamery and the franchise now known as Subway. Gonzales and his colleagues have reasons to believe that the perpetrators specifically targeted the couple’s house because of their business success.
Using surveillance camera footage and evidence found at the crime scene, the investigators were able to piece together the couple’s last few days of life.
On Thursday, at approximately 8:20 p.m., two individuals parked an SUV in front of the couple’s gate. They’ve turned the engine off, exited the vehicle, and, according to the footage, they’ve actually crawled under the gate in order to reach the house.
The couple arrived twenty minutes later, unaware that their home was being ransacked. Upon reaching the front door, the individuals jumped them, took them inside the house. Later, the footage shows the individuals departing the Lam residence in the couple’s stolen Porsche.
Son Makes Gruesome Discovery
According to Ed Gonzales, the authorities were notified by the couple’s son, Richard Lam, who has been trying to contact his parents for the past two days. When Richard and the sheriff’s deputies arrived at the residence, they’ve found all doors and windows barred.
Richard aided the deputies to get inside the house by breaking a window located on the ground floor. They were greeted by a scene that they will never forget: the Lams were tied and gagged and, according to the coroner, they’ve sustained massive trauma. Before leaving, the suspects shot the couple multiple times.
At the moment, Gonzales and his deputies are combing the county, searching for the suspects in the Spring couple execution case.
