Tired of waiting around for a new game with vampires? You won’t need to because EA has a surprise in store. How do you feel about Sims and Vampires? Seems like an unlikely combination, but this isn’t the first time EA throws a dash of the supernatural into the world of Sims.
EA officially announced that a new Sims 4 DLC would be launched. Called the Vampire Game Pack, EA’s latest DLC will allow players to turn their beloved Sims into blood-thirsty night walkers. Of course, with this new upgrade comes a whole enchilada of needs that you must fulfill to keep your character happy.
Apart from having to fulfill the vampires’ needs, the player must also keep an eye on their character’s motivation and to keep them well-fed. On the subject of hunger, according to EA, the player will have two methods of feeding his or her vampire character. Either by sucking the blood of the living (drinking blood plasma from whose who are non-vampire Sims) or by eating a nocturne fruit called the plasma fruit.
Peculiar enough, players will be able to cultivate these plasma fruits in their own garden, therefore avoiding any unnecessary contact with the living. EA also planned to liven things a bit by adding a new Sims 4 realm.
Named the Forgotten Hollow, this new world is absolutely perfect for all blood-sucking characters since it is filled with creepy elements such as cemeteries, crypts, and dark forests. Another thing EA plans to add to Sims 4 Vampire Game Pack is a modified day/night cycle.
This means that nights will last longer than days, which is good, considering that your Sim will have more time to complete his tasks. EA also added new quests, home-improvement packs, skins, and much more.
One thing we don’t know for certain is how will the Sims vampires will react when they see sunlight. If you recall, Sims 4 is not the only game in the franchise which features the popular night stalker.
The vampire was first showcased in the Sims world in Sims 3 Late Night and Sims 2. In the second installment of the game, the vampires did not react that well to sunlight, and even a small ray of light would set them ablaze. It remains to be seen how the developers tackled the sunlight issues in Sims 4.
As for the official expansion pack, EA announced that would become available starting on the 24th of January.
