Recently, a video posted on Facebook served as a painful reminder of what happens if you become addicted to heroin. The video has been seen countless of times since it was posted, and one of its viewers was the victim of this unfortunate event.
The chain of events that led to the Sandusky McDonald’s video becoming viral started with a man trying to find a parking spot. After entering the empty car lot, the man behind the wheel who filmed the experience and posted on the popular social media channel observed a car in the middle of the parking lot.
As he got out of the car, the man noticed that someone was lying next to car, apparently in an unconscious state. The man taping the event, later identified as being Eddie Wimbley, was not alone in his car, but another woman.
After seeing the man lying on the pavement next to the car, Wimbley and his wife immediately rushed to offer them assistance. If you listen closely to the recording, you will head Wimbley saying: “Someone call 911”.
As they approached the car, the couple saw another male, in a similar state, behind the driver’s wheel. Wimbley tried to assess the health of the male lying on the ground, his wife shook the driver, in an attempt to wake him up.
After several attempts, the driver woke up, but the man lying on the ground was still unconscious. Wimbley’s shouts for help attracted a rather large crowd, which rushed to their assistance.
While the man kept filming the entire experience, his wife tried, to no avail to resuscitate the man on lying on the pavement. During this time, she kept asking the car driver about what kind of drugs did they take.
Shortly after, the paramedics arrived and started to resuscitate the man lying next to the car. The victim, whom the ambulance crew identified as being Michael Williams, took a large amount of heroin before he collapsed.
The Sandusky McDonald’s incident confirms that the town is confronted with a heroin addiction epidemic. According to the authorities, in the last couple of months, there have been over 30 cases of heroin OD. Four people lost their lives after taking the dangerous narcotic.
When asked about his drug addiction, Williams, the unfortunate protagonist of the Sandusky McDonald’s incident said that he knows he has an addiction, but can’t get any help, since he lost his job and his medical insurance in the process.
