Warren Buffett has instated a tradition with charitable means. For eighteen years straight, the billionaire organized an auction where the prize is a private lunch with him. In all these years, the funds eventually went to the Glide Foundation. Last year set a record with the winner paying a total of $3,456,789 which is the highest amount recorded in this action since 2012.
Buffett believes in the nonprofit institution he chose as the beneficiary of this charity program. It was his first wife, Susie Buffett, who introduced him to this center and showed him how well the group supported the homeless and the poor. Susie Buffett was an active volunteer for this organization until her death in 2004. Warren Buffett cherished this organization ever since.
