South Korean company Samsung has been through a difficult time because of the Galaxy Note 7 problems. However, the developers intend to make amends. There are rumors saying that a new Samsung smartphone will be presented to users in the first half of the next year.
The new Samsung smartphone is Galaxy S8. Officials had already announced that the next mobile phone would feature a high-quality camera and improved AI service. There were voices that claimed that the new Galaxy S8 would be released earlier than expected, but the company firmly denied any acceleration of the process.
Developers might choose a dual-lens camera for their new smartphone model. This means that two of them will be placed on the back of the phone. However, the device will also display a front camera.
There are several rumors related to the design of the new Samsung smartphone. It is said to feature glass on all four sizes. Official have already revealed that the model will be a “slick” one, but no further details were added. The mobile phone is also said to come in two versions, according to the sizes.
In addition to all of these, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S8 might also feature removable batteries. This might be the manufacturer’s plan of preventing the risk of overheating and catching fire like it happened with their last product.
Samsung Electronics is one of the leaders in the smartphone market. However, the inconveniences with the Galaxy Note 7 models spelled financial disaster for the company. The recall and compensation damages it had to pay amounted to millions of dollars.
Taking into consideration the current situation of the company, it is natural that the new Samsung smartphone should be more expensive than users might expect. It is a good strategy for the company to recover from the recent events. However, this doesn’t mean that the new smartphone model won’t be worth the money.
On the other hand, the South Korean developers might be actually thinking about reducing the price, showing increased consideration about their clients. However, no official price tag has been attached to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8. So the details related to the cost are just assumptions.
As far as the official launch date is concerned, no specific information has been released yet. However, it seems like users will have the new Samsung Galaxy S8 in 2017. Analysts believe that the launch event will be held in late February.
