Following other great performing artists to include Celine Dion, Shania Twain, and Brittany Spears, Mariah Carey is now set to become a headliner at the Las Vegas Caesars Colosseum. The announcement came on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which was quickly followed by a robust round of applause.
As Carey stated, this will be the first time in her career to reside at Caesars. Celine Deion had been the headliner at that same venue and in fact, the stage on which she performed was customized to her liking.
However, this past August Dion suddenly announced that all her shows were being cancelled through March 2015 at least due to health issues that both she and her husband were dealing with. At this time, there is no word if Dion will return at all.
The production that Mariah Carey puts on at Caesars Colosseum will include all 18 of her singles that topped charts. However, she added that she has a lot of additional ideas for the show and is extremely excited for the opportunity to perform.
Her entire life has been recorded as songs and some fans have never heard so this is a great time for Carey to give fans an even closer look into her personal life. A few of the songs in particular that Carey will perform include “We Belong Together”, “Hero”, and “Touch my Body”.
For the 18 performances scheduled for May and July, tickets have gone on sale, ranging in price from $55 to $250. With a reputation for having a five-octave range, being an outstanding songwriter, and boasting an amazingly beautiful voice, there is no doubt her stay at Caesars will be successful.
A spokesperson for Caesars said that tickets can be purchased in person, by calling Caesars Colosseum, or ordered online if preferred.
