A 25-year old male from Bronx has lost his pinky finger and had his hands and legs slashed after he was brutally assaulted by three individuals carrying knives and a machete. NY’s Police Department was not able to determine the reason why the man was attacked in the first place.
According to New York’s Police Department, a 25-year-old Bronx resident has been critically injured during an assault which took place on Saturday, at around 11:00 pm. The man in question was attacked by three individuals of Hispanic origin inside of an apartment complex near Bedford Park.
The moments before the individual was assaulted were captured by a security camera mounted in the building’s highway. The security footage shows two men of Hispanic descent entering a hallway and banding on the elevator’s door.
Seeing that they could not take the elevator, the two men rushed up the stairs. After a few seconds, another individual entered the building and followed the two men. Another security camera, show the two of the suspects drawing out their knives, while the third one drew out a machete from under his jacket
Although the security footage does not show the face of the victim, at the end of the movie, you can clearly see how the individual wielding the machete moves the weapon as if he wanted to slash something.
After a couple of seconds, the three individuals rushed down the stairs and exited the building before the police arrived.
When the authorities arrived, they’ve reported seeing a heavily-injured citizen who said that he was attacked. The individual was rushed to the local hospital, where the doctors performed emergency surgery.
According to the man’s doctors, the brutal assault left the man without a pinky finger. In addition, it would also seem that his hands and legs were slashed during the assault. Although the suspect was not cooperative at first, refusing to give any details regarding the identity of the suspects, the law enforcement officers persuaded him to talk.
At the moment, the authorities are still trying to establish the identity of the suspects. As a result, NYPD asks anyone with information regarding the recent machete attack to contact the authorities immediately.
The suspects involved in the bloody machete attacks were all in their twenties and are of Hispanic descent. According to NYPD’s description, one of them was wearing white sneakers, a blue baseball-style cap, and a blue and white jacket.
The second suspect was dressed in a blue jacket, a dark cap, white pants, and black shoes. As for the machete-wielding suspect, the authorities described him as having a ponytail and wore a black T-shirt, white shoes, and black pants.
