Shifting our attention to subjects less ominous than Zika viruses, a Louisiana mother gave birth to a 14-pound baby on the 6th of December. At one month, the woman’s baby measures two feet in height, weighs 14 pounds, and wears size three diapers.
LaQueena Hunter Grove, the Louisiana mother who gave birth to 6.5-kilograms baby boy, declared for a local news outlet that she was stunned when the doctors told her that her baby is literally a mammoth. Prior to going for her routine ultrasound, the woman believed that she was going to have twins, a fact also shared by her family and friends.
However, after learning that she will give birth, not to two, but one big infant, the woman remained speechless. It would also seem that his was not Grove’s first pregnancy. The woman has three more children, but none of them had the weight of her soon-to-come child.
In fact, Grove told the press, that two of her children had a little over 7 pounds at birth, and that the third one weighed a whopping 11.9 pounds. However, nothing could prepare the woman for this surprise.
In her interview, the woman recalled everyone’s reactions after she delivered the baby. The Louisiana mother said that after she gave birth, one of the nurses assisting the doctor told her that were she not near a gurney, she would have probably fainted after seeing the big boy. Needless to say that the nurse told Mrs. Grove that this was the biggest baby ever to be born in that maternity.
Even the doctor had a hard time containing his excitement when looking at the 14-pounds baby boy. Grove recalls how the doctor took her husband outside to deliver the news. The man was so astonished that his mouth literally dropped.
The woman named her newborn Loyalty Adonis Grover, an important figure in the Greek Gods Pantheon, synonymous with beauty and sex-appeal. After Loyalty Adonis Grover was born, the nurse took him to the maternity’s neonatal intensive care unit, where he remained for 27 straight days.
According to Loyalty’s doctors, the infant is in good health, and there was no reason to keep him in NICU. Right now, Mrs. Grove, mother of four, is regularly posting pictures of Adonis on her social media account. Needless to say, that Loyalty has become somewhat of a local star.
