Kansas police officials are still trying to determine what happened to Toni Morrison, the 20-years-old student, who vanished without a trace, after returning home to work. Officials told reporters that Toni Anderson’s car was pulled over by a law enforcement officer after she committed a minor traffic offense.
Toni Anderson’s friends and family members are still not sure about what happened to the 20-years-old woman who vanished on Sunday morning, while on her way home from work. According to Roxy Townsend, Anderson’s best friend, she received a message from the woman at approximately 4:40.
The young woman wrote that she was pulled over by a law enforcement offiers. Kansas’s Police Department confirmed that a person fitting Anderson’s description was indeed stopped in traffic in Northern Michigan by a police officer after committing a minor traffic offense.
Officials have declared that the woman was pulled over for an improper lane change offense. When questioned by the officers, Anderson said that she did not realize the deed, as she was in a hurry to reach a gas station, because her car was low on fuel.
The officer who stopped Anderson gave her a warning and showed her the way to the nearest gas station. According to the family, the law enforcement officers might be the last person to see Toni Anderson before she disappeared.
Brian Anderson, Toni’s father, declared that the car his daughter was driving was equipped with a GPS system capable of tracking the car in case it gets stolen. However, according to Brian, after her daughter reached the Kansas gas station, the GPS suddenly stopped working. Neither the woman’s father nor the authorities can explain why the tracking device stopped transmitting.
Baffling enough, it would seem that the young woman announced her colleagues before leaving work that she needed to reach a certain gas station. Toni Anderson is a student, studying at the University of Missouri. However, in order to pay for university expenses, the woman worked as a waitress in a strip club.
People with any information regarding the woman’s whereabouts are asked to contact the police immediately. When she disappeared, Toni Anderson was driving a black 2014 Ford Focus registered in Kansas, plate number 989 GAX. The woman has blonde hair and a lean figure.
Anderson’s friends and family have set up a GoFundMe account in the hope of raising money to hire a private investigator.
