At the end of March, the first supermodel in the world discovered she has breast cancer. But even though the news devastated her, Janice Dickinson is fighting her cancer. The former judge from the “America’s Next Top Model” TV-show, is determined to win the struggle against the horrible disease.
When she first heard the news, the former supermodel was shaken. She declared that she hasn’t cried in more than thirty years, but the news of her cancer unclogged those tear ducts and let the rain fall.
She suffered for a while, isolating herself, letting the diagnosis bet her. But then Dickinson remembered what she went through when her own mother was diagnosed with the same illness. Not wanting to cause the same pain to her son, the supermodel took charge and decided to fight the disease.

During the show, she declared that she considers herself a fighter and she never cowered out of a fight in her life. And this will not be the first time.
Dickinson was the first supermodel ever; that means that the woman knows a thing or two about struggles and hard times. But it also means that she is a winner.
The former “America’s Next Top Model” judge, declared on Wednesday that she will undergo breast removal surgery and then a couple of sessions of chemotherapy, just to be sure that all traces of cancer will be gone from her body.
Furthermore, she said that she will not let her disease prevent her from attending her daughter’s wedding, from spending time with her grandchildren. Moreover, she must win the struggle against her breast cancer because she, herself is engaged to be married.
And as every noteworthy celebrity, Dickinson took the time to address her illness, to raise awareness of its dangers. During Wednesday’s show, the former supermodel urged women to take regular visits to the doctor’s office and have their breasts examined for any suspicious growths.
