In another gory carnage, ISIS militants have burned to death 45 people in the western Iraqi town of al-Baghdadi on Tuesday just five miles from an air base which houses hundreds of US Marine troops.
The identities of the victim are still not clear but it is assumed that they are Iraqi security forces which have been clashing with ISIS fighters for controlling the town. It is reported that ISIS fighters now control most of the city but sporadic fighting still continues.
Col. Qasim Obeidi is pleading for help from the Iraqi government and the international community and informed that ISIS fighters have laid siege on a compound which houses families of security personnel and officials.
The report comes days after a video which showed 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians being beheaded along a beach in Libya. The act drew international condemnation with Pope Francis calling the killing ‘Barbaric’.
Earlier this month ISIS showed a fleet of vehicles flying the black ISIS flag and driving through the streets of Benghazi Libya. The video showed the vehicles being greeted by hordes of women, men and children.
On Friday a media group which has been linked to ISIS released a 4 minute propaganda video titled “Peshmerga Captives in Kirkuk Province,” which purportedly showed Kurdish prisoners — imprisoned in iron cages. The images of the prisoner in orange jumpsuits were erringly similar to the scenes of the execution of the Jordanian pilot. The video showing Lt. Muath al-Kaseasbeh being burned alive in a cage was released by ISIS two weeks ago.
