All tech giants are rivals and that is why they are trying to bring more and more apps and features in order to keep their place on the market. This is why Instagram Stories just rolled out a new option: the stickers feature. This feature resembles the one that Snapchat already has.
It is known that Instagram is trying to look more like Snapchat in order to have more users. In an attempt to be more like Snapchat, Instagram started the feature named Stories, where people can post short videos. This was initially the main feature of Snapchat.
Now, Instagram is bringing the stickers feature in order to keep its users happy. People who are using Instagram will now be able to introduce stickers to their posts. The developers of this feature mentioned that they wanted to be more creative and that this why they chose this type of feature.
The stickers can be added by any user by just touching the button that is situated next to the drawing tool. The stickers feature has a lot of interesting models, including special stickers that show the time or recent weather predictions. Because Christmas is coming, Instagram decided to add some special seasonal stickers, as well.
This is not the only feature Instagram added. Instagram also added a hands-free video recording option. Until now, users needed to hold the button if they wanted to record a video. From now on, people can just tap the recording button when they want to start and then tap it again when they are done. Despite the fact that it doesn’t seem much, this feature is really helpful because people don’t need to hold the button any longer.
Also, with this new update users can add more text to their videos and posts. They just have to tap the button and add what they want. Users can save the stories they made in the last 24 hours and make it look like a single video.
All of these features are available on the newest version of Instagram (10.3) for Android and iOS. Let’s hope that users enjoy these new features and that Instagram is going to bring more interesting novelties in order to keep its users happy.
