Marriage may have its ups and downs, but it’s one thing to hold a grudge against you significant other and an entirely different thing to settle the score through murder. Recently, a 22-year-old woman from Cuddalore, a district in the south of Tamil Nadu state, was taken into custody and charged with murder, after she admitted killing her husband on the pretense of not being handsome enough.
Looks Matter More than We Think
According to the Indian authorities, the woman, whose identity was not disclosed, got married last week to a 20-year-old sculptor from the same city. Things seemed to have worked out for the newly-wed couple until the woman met with some of her childhood friends.
It would appear that, during their conversations, the woman’s friends repeatedly mocked her about her choice in men. Moreover, it seems that the woman’s friends told her that the 20-year-old wood sculptor was not good enough for her, and not that good looking.
Indian Woman Plots the Murder of her Husband
Consumed by dark thoughts, the 22-year-old Indian woman returned home. Thinking about what her best friends told her about her husband not being handsome and not a good match for her, the woman decided that it’s time to put an end to her seemingly toxic relationship.
When her husband returned home, the Indian woman took a grinding store from the kitchen and assaulted her husband. The woman wouldn’t stop bashing her husband’s head until the poor man drew his last breath.
The Police Investigates the Murder Scene
According to the Cuddalore authorities, the crime scene was horrific – the floor was covered in blood, and the 20-year-old man was so disfigured that identifying him was a challenge. What’s even worse is that the 22-year-old Indian tried to pin the murder of her husband on someone else
Reportedly, after committing the horrendous deed, the woman came out of the house, ravaged and screaming at the top of the lungs that someone murdered her husband. However, upon investigating the crime scene, the police officials confirmed that there was no third party involved in the sculptor’s murder and that at all the clues pointed out towards his bride.
The woman was immediately arrested and charged with the murder of her husband. Allegedly, when questioned by the authorities regarding her motif, the woman pleaded temporary insanity. However, the officers were not convinced by the woman’s thoroughly rehearsed performance and, as a result, she will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law for the crime she has committed.
