The Florida authorities recently arrested a 61-year-old man who allegedly used a shared wall in order to test his aiming and a newly-acquired 9-mm handgun. After posting a $10,000, the man was released. The authorities declared that no one was injured during the event.
Florida Man Believed that Shooting the Wall Was Totally Safe
On Sunday, the Florida authorities were summoned to an apartment building complex after a caller told the emergency dispatcher that he heard loud bangs coming from his adjoining apartment. Upon arriving at the location, the law enforcement officers discovered several bullet-like holes in the wall the family shared with another tenant.
The search for the mysterious shooter led the investigators to the doorstep of 61-year-old Ivan Bakh. After confronting the individual, Ivan denied all allegations. However, upon entering the Florida man’s apartment, the police officers discovered, much to their bewilderment, that the man literally transformed his home into a veritable shooting range.
According to Bakh’s arrest warrant, the taped books with targets on them to the wall and used them in order to try out his newly- and legally-acquired 9-mm handgun. The search revealed a box of ammunition and the firearm the Florida man used in order to redecorate his apartment. Apparently, the targets Bakh was shooting at were drawn by his hand and, more than likely resembled people he despised.
When confronted with his deed, the man told the officers he thought that it was totally safe to shoot his gun indoors, using the shared wall. Fortunately, no one was injured during the man’s imaginary gun duel.
Later that day, the Florida man was booked into county jail and a charged with reckless discharge of a firearm and shooting a weapon into a house. Bakh was released the same day after posting a $10,000 bail.
