A new Microsoft App, Fetch can tell you what breed of dog you are. The app is not only designed for some human giggles, but it can also correctly identify the species of every dog you show it.
Fetch was released only this Thursday and it already made quite an impression on the users. Fetch can tell you what breed of dog you are, and ca also correctly identify the breed of your four-legged companion.
Ever wondered if your rescued Golden Retriever is a pure breed? No problem, just go online or to the iTunes library, download the Fetch app, take a picture of your dog and run it through the Microsoft app. The answer is given in a matter of seconds.
The original intention of the app was for the users to correctly identify dog breeds. And it could prove useful when you’re in the park with your children and they ask you about the dogs they are seeing, or if you go to a shelter in search of a new best friend.
Apart from the fact that the app can differentiate from a couple hundred different dog species, it also provides a few insights about each one of them. For example, for the Chihuahua is says that it is “quick-witted, loving and wary of strangers and other dogs.”
But the internet is full of surprises. After downloading the app, people started to use it to identify the breed of dog with which they shared a resemblance. Sometimes the answers were quite hilarious, and it already became a trend among the celebrities to upload their canine personas.
One of the celebrities that tried the new app developed by Microsoft was Kanye West. According to Fetch, Kanye is a Golden Retriever. The description under West’s photo read “gets along with just about everyone, gentle and eager to please”.
Jeff Woods, who also used the app to find out what breed of dog he is discovered that he shares similar features with the Border Collie. The breed is known for “great athleticism, intense stares and the fact that it is highly intelligent”.

Fetch can tell you what breed of dog you are because it uses artificial intelligence to analyze the photographs that you upload to it. The app was developed in the Microsoft Garage program and it was released just before the start of the annual Meet & Compete of the American Kennel Club.
