Walt Disney World is a symbol of magic that can wash away the dark shadows of a terrifying experience. People were able to visit once more this whimsical land of famous Disney icons and fun activities in Lake Buena Vista. Disney World reopened only two days after Hurricane Irma had a huge impact on central Florida.
Tourists Visited the Amusement Park in a Bid to Escape the Looming Tragedy of Irma
On Tuesday, the Magic Kingdom and Epcot Center started functioning based on its usual schedule. It was accompanied by Disney Springs, Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. On the other hand, the water parks remained out of order, yet the company claimed they would be repaired by the end of this week.
The same day of the reopening was a busy day for the magical complex. People visited the Disney attraction with the same enthusiasm as before Hurricane Irma. Clients rode Tea Cups and accompanied Thunder Mountain and The Little Mermaid deep into the sea waters.
One of the most popular rides in the entire park, Space Mountain, had a line of only 10 minutes of waiting. By comparison, visitors need to stay in the queue around one hour for their turn on this kind of roller-coaster.
Tourists and U.S. citizens walked past the gates of this adventure land in an attempt to leave the Irma trauma behind them and celebrate the beauty of life. Powerful winds and torrential rain hit central Florida on Sunday leading even to a landfall in lower Florida Keys.

The hurricane was graded as a Category 4 storm which delivered a second blow on the same day to Marco Island. The hurricane then turned into a Category 1 storm on Monday and shifted course to the eastern part of the world.
Although the amusement park didn’t lose power, the hurricane crashed trees and flooded some buildings here. While Disney hotels were open throughout the natural calamity, the Disney World reopened after a two-day hiatus.
