As expected, yesterday, on the 27th of April, Activision launched the much-anticipated Call of Duty World War 2 trailer, during an official live feed. Fans from all over the world were regaled with yet another footage depicting the horror of the Second World War, as seen through the eye of a simple Marine. Now the question at hand is – could this finally be the end of Activision’s approach to future warfare? It is, according to the company, because, as they say, what’s old is definitely gold. Let’s take a closer look at the game’s trailer.
Call of Duty World War 2 – Is it Any Good?
Now, it’s not exactly something new under the sun that, come another year, Activision arrives just like the Easter Bunny with a new Call of Duty game. However, this time, something feels different. Not bad nor good just something different and, dare we say, more invigorating.
Since the first Call of Duty was launched, we had our fair share of World War 2 inspired shooters, especially due to the fact that Activision had a race to win against EA’s Medal of Honor series.
Well, after years of fighting and shooting people using all sorts of futuristic weapons and gadgets, it looks like Activision wants to go back to its roots.
The result is Call of Duty World War 2, a game with gorgeous graphics, and, hopefully, great gameplay. From the game’s presentation trailer, we’ve learned that World War 2 will be packed with intense moments, like tank battles and close-quarters combat.
Of course, Call of Duty World War 2 will not be a mindless shoot ‘em up game, but one that makes the players experience all the horror of participating in a conflagration that set the whole world on fire.
Game Trailer vs. The People
So, what do the series’ fans think about the upcoming game? Well, as expected, while some of them think that Activision’s decision to go back to the game’s roots is great, others seem to believe that this will be the beginning of another series games based on the same time-honored recipe.
Whatever the case may be, it would appear that on the third of November, we will see for ourselves if the game itself will be any good or if it will just be another opportunity to bomb things and to kill Nazi soldiers. For now, we invite you to check out the game’s official trailer.
