According to the Texas authorities, Breanna Talbott, the victim of the alleged Denison gangrape, has recently decided to come clean and tell the Police that it was all an elaborate hoax. Earlier this month, the 18-year-old woman declared that she was abducted from her vehicle, dragged to a remote area, beaten and raped by three African-American males wearing ski masks to conceal their faces. The teen will be charged with a misdemeanor for filing a fake police report.
According to Lieutenant Mike Eppler of the Denison Police Department, on the 8th of March, Breanna Talbott entered a Denison church screaming for help. Eyewitnesses described her as wearing only a pair of underwear, a torn white shirt, and a bra. Moreover, it appeared that the 18-year-old was brutalized, as her body was covered in cuts and bruises.
The church attendees immediately called the law enforcement officers who took Breanna Talbott to the hospital. According to some of the doctors who treated Talbott, the adolescents was extremely apprehensive when she was brought in, repeatedly telling the doctors not to touch her.
After a brief interview, the investigators learned that the teen was abducted from her car which was parked in front of the apartment she shared with Sam Hollingsworth, her fiancé, taken to the remote wooded area, severely beaten, and raped by three unknown aggressors of African-American descent who were wearing black ski masks.
Earlier that day, Sam Hollingsworth called the Police Department in order to file a missing person’s report. The man said that he became alerted when he discovered Talbott’s car outside their apartment with the doors open.
The officers who investigated Talbott’s vehicles discovered that the victim’s phone and keys were missing. After pointing out the place where she was allegedly taken and raped, the investigator began combing the area to find evidence.
That’s when the pieces of the jigsaw puzzles started to come together. According to Lieutenant Eppler, the investigators found several pieces of clothing at the scene of the crime and other things belonging to the victim. However, the crime scene looked like it was staged. Furthermore, the physician who examined Breanna Talbott could not find any signs of raped.
Finally, on Tuesday, Breanna Talbott admitted that everything was a hoax. The teen also confessed faking all injuries and planting the evidence at the crime scene. Texas authorities have charged the 18-year-old woman with a misdemeanor of filing a fake police report.
