Google wanted to enter the smartphone business as well, so it produced the Pixel phones. These devices are a worthy competitor for all the other smartphones on the market, as they have the latest hardware components and the best single-sensor camera there is. The latest update brings makes everything more fun, as it includes the AR stickers.
The AR stickers are available only on Pixel
Smartphones are great, but being able to introduce interactive characters in an everyday scene is one of the best things that Pixel phones allow you to do. The latest update which Google rolled out on its devices includes the AR stickers, which are integrated in the camera app.
As you launch the camera and choose a scene you want to photograph, a series of animated characters and emojis will appear in the frame and start interacting with real-life elements. These AR stickers include popular characters from popular TV series of movies, such as Stranger Things or Star Wars, or even animated emojis.
The interactive characters can be inserted in any frame
To add AR stickers into a frame, you first have to select the AR Mode after you open the camera. Then, you can select whatever pack of stickers you like and, after finding your favorite, you can drag and drop it into your photo.
The AR stickers can be resized and moved, and will stay in the frame even after moving the camera. Also, they will interact with other stickers or elements present there. Of course, after taking a photo of this scene, you can always save it and share it everywhere on the social media.
The AR stickers will come with the Android 8.1 Oreo update, and should roll out on all Pixel devices over the next few days. This is part of Google’s attempt to insert as much AR and VR content into the OS.
