Volition developer managed to find the ideal mixture between the old Saints Row universe and a brand new scenario for a video game. That’s something hard to get as most creators can get sloppy with a follow-up and just rely on the popularity of the first production. The result is an open-world third-person action game entitled Agents of Mayhem. The title is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One for $59.99.
The New Edge of Agents of Mayhem Offer a Generous Range of Fun Heroes and Villains
The new Volition production managed to keep the funky vibes of the Saints Row series. The heroes are gathered under the Agency, an organization that intends to protect the planet against evil. In this case, the bad guy is L.E.G.I.O.N. One of the most enjoyable features of this new production is the generous cast of characters.
Each of the persons that players encounter in Agents of Mayhem has a well-built and entertaining background story. Their quirky past such as an army general who was betrayed, a former Yakuza gangster or a gun-addicted woman on roller blades endowed them with unique skill sets and combat styles. Therefore, players can’t get away easily now if they don’t choose wisely which character to send for which mission.
On top of that, players can select a total of three characters and interchange them during a mission or battle. Thanks to this perk, they can come up with a slew of fatal combinations of skills. Therefore, even though it is a spin-off of the original Saints Row universe, the new production brings a lot of new and fun additions to the table.
The New Volition Game Keeps the Best Vibes of Saints Row Universe and Added Novel Features
Each level comes with some videos that can be considered real 90’s cartoon episodes of a TV show. The Ark which is the base of the good guys hosts a total of 12 different agents. The aircraft hovers above Seoul where the action takes place.
All in all, Agents of Mayhem managed to bring something new from its predecessors. It sure offers a lot of entertaining hours on a casual Sunday. The starting price is $59.99, and it might be worth the investment for an extra dose of the 90’s fashion and humour.
