Several researchers have come up with an insane idea to cool down the planet, by simulating a series of processes in the atmosphere with the help of aerosols. However, a new research revealed that artificial aerosol altering of the phenomena could end up in destroying the climatic balance, but there are no laws to stop people from doing it.
Using aerosol injections to cool down the atmosphere
Among the artificial cooling methods, researchers proposed solar geoengineering, which might be the most effective of all. The process consists of aerosol injection in the atmosphere, which should mix with the oxygen. When this happens, it forms small drops of sulfuric acid, which reflects sunlight and keeps the planet cooler. However, this is a lot riskier than it sounds.
Therefore, a team of researchers decided to develop a study and explore the possible consequences of such an event. Solar geoengineering could be used in the Northern Hemisphere to reduce the number of cyclones which occur because of global warming. This might work in the northern half of the globe, but it would increase the incidence of such event in the south.

However, this is not the only consequence which might occur. Artificially cooling down the Northern Hemisphere would lead to drought in Africa, in the Sahel region. In fact, this aerosol injection would be good only for the US.

After three or four years of extreme drought in Sahel, Africa, the Northern Hemisphere was hit by a series of disastrous volcanic eruptions.
