Car enthusiasts have reasons to rejoice. October debuts with an event which must have already drawn their attention. For the next two weeks, the Paris Motor show will be displaying some of the latest models of vehicles in the world. People have the chance to see them between 1 and 16 October.
The Paris Motor Show is also referred to as Mondial de l’Automobile, and it has a venerable tradition. The first such presentation occurred almost thirty yeas ago, back in 1989. Up to this day, the venue is Porte de Versailles, which one of the most appropriate places in France to host such an exhibition.
The car exhibition in Paris is one of the most famous and prestigious such events in the world. The 2014 edition was one of the most successful in the history of the event, with no less than 1.2 million people who came to admire the brand-new vehicles.
The last days of September were dedicated to press releases and exhibitors. However, the auto show is now ready to receive its eager visitors. Starting this weekend they can visit the exhibition at Porte de Versailles. They can find more information on tickets on the official site of the event.
As far as the 2016 edition of the Paris Motor Show is concerned, it seems to be as spectacular as any other. It also looks like car manufacturers followed similar tendencies when creating their models, as seven of the displayed vehicles are electric. Although the number may seem insignificant, it clearly shows that car technology is advancing in order to satisfy modern people’s needs.
Out of the seven electric vehicles, only one of them is a scooter, while the others are cars. The electric scooter proposal comes from BMW. It is called Electric C Evolution, and developers offer two versions of it, function of the speed.
The other brands which offer fully functional models or concepts are Mercedes-Benz, Opel, Renault (with two models), and Volkswagen (also with two models). Although the Opel Ampera model and some other vehicles too may look quite similar to their previous versions, they are clearly equipped with electric drive options.
For those who need guidelines at the 2016 edition of the Paris Motor Show, here are some of the new products: Audi Q5, Honda Civic, Citroen C3, Land Rover Discovery, Peugeot 300, Hyundai i30, and Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta. It’s time to pick your favorite.
